Google Wave Review
Having had the chance to play in Google Wave - Google's reinvention of email/IM/collaborative document editing - I can definitely see where it takes communication to another level. I predict federated wave servers will someday replace Sharepoint, Exchange, and Windows Communicator platforms with one incredibly interactive application.
For
the past week, there have really only been public waves to interact
with, but Google finally started sending their 2nd level invites this
morning so I finally have some "friends" to play with. If you're lucky enough to get in,here are some tips
- Once you open a wave you can't remove yourself from it. You can mute it though and archive it and it won't show up constantly in your inbox.
- To see public waves search "with:public" in the main search box above your inbox.
- To get more granular searches in public try "with:public MySearchText"
- Some waves have an "unarchivable" bug, meaning they are stranded on your inbox until they fix the bug.
